The Chinese Elm Bonsai features small, serrated leaves and a finely textured bark that peels with age. This bonsai is prized for its graceful, arching branches and can be grown indoors or outdoors with proper care.
Place in bright, indirect light if indoors, or partial shade outdoors. Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Prune regularly to maintain its shape and promote new growth.
Use a well-draining bonsai soil mix. Repot every 2-3 years, preferably in spring. Ensure the pot has adequate drainage to prevent water retention.
